our new flooring, gallery wall, and a little sewing

Our new flooring is in and we couldn't be happier with it! It's Vinyl Plank Flooring,100%Waterproof, very durable, looks like wood and feels nice on the feet because of the thick backing. We can't get over how much nicer our home looks and the difference the flooring makes.
Here's the before and afters-
The difference in how our home looks is just amazing! Here's the rest of the transformation-
We had to endure a lot of noise, mainly saws and continuous pounding, and our stuff was strewn all over the place. We did take out two nights in a row and had fun sitting in our chairs in all the mess the first evening all excited about the days progress and looking forward to the next day when we thought it would be done. It was except for the base board being cut and installed which of course made a huge difference as well.No complaints here about them coming out a 3rd day. Here's some of the not so pretty pics!
I've been wanting to do a gallery wall in our entryway and this updating motivated me to git r done. Everything on this wall has personal meaning to us. Expressions of our faith, a photo taken right after we got married, the custom S I had made for our reception for guests to sign. A cute sign I found at Hobby Lobby that goes perfect with a 6.00 lovely wood thrifted frame hubby put chicken wire in so I could hang photos in it. We took our first cruise ever, together, then two more, and we love an adventure! There's still so many places we want to go and see and so many things we want to do.
Chris and I took a few burlap coffee bean bags and staple gunned them to thrifted canvas pieces and I painted over the existing art with brown paint. They weren't exactly Monets if ya know what I mean.
I did get a little sewing done. Some contoured burp cloths and some kitchen towels that a toddler can't pull off the fridge or oven door. I shared both of those tutorials and where I found them on Instagram.I hope you'll follow me there as I share lots of sewing links, projects, and every day things there that don't get shared here. I even shared some pics and videos of Bagpipe bands at the Scottish Fest and a reenactment in St. Augustine in the historic area during the Lions Seafood Festival. I finally got around to making myself a coffee bean bag purse in the pattern I love that has the 4 pockets in front. I finally got over my fear of zippers quite a while ago so I did a zipper pocket inside and a magnetic snap for closure. I picked up some cool coffee bags and plan on making some of these and listing them in my Etsy shop and I'll share them on Instagram as well.
